Before embarking on your own programming, it's important to work through programs that have stood the test of time and have been proven to get results for those who work them.
If you'd like to gain strength try 5x5 and 3x5 variants at the novice level.
Once you've stalled move onto 531, the Texas Method, or the Juggernaught System.
For endurance, rock Couch 2 5k, Nike Training Club, or Runner's World.
These can be adjusted to pretty much any endurance sport.
For hypertrophy, Westside For Skinny Bastards, Push Pull Legs, and pretty much anything on bodybuilding.com can be useful.
Fat loss and general work capacity can be challenging to find programs for, but they are out there.
For fat loss, check out the New Rules Of Lifting and Shortcut To Shred.
For general work capacity, work through P90X, Insanity, Nerd Fitness Beginner Bodyweight Circuit, or even CrossFit!
